Devil’s Bowl Speedway Suffers First Rainout of 2018
Independence Day Firecracker coming up on Tuesday, July 3
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has suffered its first rainout of the 2018 stock car racing season on Sunday, June 24. Rain on Sunday morning and an unfavorable evening forecast have forced speedway officials to cancel the event.
The event was scheduled to be “Throwback Night” featuring the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series and the new Champlain Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds. Track and series officials will attempt to find a suitable makeup date for the vintage tours, which would be announced in the future.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s next event is Tuesday, July 3, for the special “Independence Day Firecracker Spectacular” with Vermont’s biggest and loudest fireworks celebration and exciting racing action on the all-new half-mile dirt track at Devil’s Bowl. The Sprint Cars of New England will headline the event, along with the weekly Sportsman Modified, Limited Sportsman, Super Stock, Mini Stock, and 500cc Mini Sprint divisions. The event also features the annual Kids Bicycle Giveaway at intermission, when young fans win new bikes donated by Devil’s Bowl Speedway drivers and race teams.
Special event general admission on Tuesday, July 3, is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, $5 for teens (13-17), and free for kids age 12 and under. Racing starts at 6:00 p.m.
