Joe Graf Jr. Heading to Berlin Raceway and New York University this weekend

Concord, NC- (August 23, 2018) This just might be the most exhilarating weekend of his life for Joe Graf Jr. On Saturday evening the Mahwah, NJ resident will drive his No. 77 Chad Bryant Racing Ford in the Primera Plastics 200 on the challenging Berlin Raceway asphalt track located in Marne, MI in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menard’s.

On Sunday Joe and his family make the long trek from Michigan to Greenwich Village in New York City where the racer will transform into full-time college student at the prestigious New York University. Graf will become one of 40,000 students of the Class of 2022 and major in Business, Media, and Sports Management.

“This is a really cool weekend, “stated Graf. “First, I am feeling good about the race at Berlin, it reminds me of Elko Speedway where we finished third. We were there a while back and got rained out but made great progress with our Big Tine No. 77 Ford before the rains came. Chad Bryant Racing always give me great cars and I believe that we will be a car that will be challenging for the win at the end of 200 laps.”

Joe Graf Jr. took a year off after graduating from high school to establish his racing career and earlier this year chose New York University as his choice to further his education. Sunday he will move into Founder’s Hall on the historic NYU campus on the 22nd-floor …a move that has the talented racer feeling both challenged and optimistic at the same time.

“NYU has been great working with me balancing my racing and college education,” beamed Graf. “My guidance counselor, Ms. Hill, has been fantastic with helping me design a schedule that will allow me to pursue my racing career while being a full-time student at such a great university. I am so lucky to be furthering my education with a major that I believe will help me grow as a racer, by learning the business side of our sport.”
