Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend at Georgetown Speedway Now Saturday-Sunday October 27-28 – YankeeRacer.com

Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend at Georgetown Speedway Now Saturday-Sunday October 27-28

GEORGETOWN, DE – A coastal storm heading for the Mid-Atlantic Region late Friday has forced Georgetown Speedway management to alter the schedule for the year-end Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend at the Sussex County half-mile oval.

The event will now take place on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28.

“After reviewing all available forecast information, pushing the event back to Saturday and Sunday seemed to be our best option,” Georgetown Speedway promoter Brett Deyo said. “We have sealed the track and graded the pit area to be ready for rain Friday and overnight into Saturday. Now, we wait for the storm to track north and cap off the 2018 season in a big way.”
