Attica Fremont Championship Series Gaining Momentum; Memberships Available
The newly created All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont 410 Championship Series (AFCS) Presented by the Baumann Auto Group along with the KS Sales & Service AFCS 305 Championship Series Presented by Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales is gaining momentum leading up to the season opener April 12 at Attica Raceway Park.
The AFCS will carry a separate point fund for the 18 AFCS 410 c.i. sprint races (9 events each at both Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway) and the 14 AFCS 305 c.i. sprint events (7 each at Attica and Fremont).
“Things are shaping up very well for the inaugural AFCS season. We are gaining marketing partners all the time and getting a lot of positive feedback as we work on showcasing the talent at both of these great tracks,” said Duane Hancock, AFCS Series Director. “We will announce the point funds soon as we are still adding partners to the series.”
Not only will there a separate point fund for the AFCS, but there will be shows throughout the season with bigger purses. There will be eight AFCS 410 events each paying $4,000 to win with back-to-back nights – Fridays at Attica and Saturdays at Fremont.
“The goal is to put more funds in the hands of the loyal teams that support our tracks every weekend. Thanks to Spanky’s Pizza in Carey (OH) for stepping up to help with six of the higher paying events,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at Attica Raceway Park.
Also, thanks to Bryan, Ohio race fan Jack Fortney, the “hard charger” in both the 410 and 305 AFCS features will receive Jack’s All Out Award. The driver advancing the most position from their original start to the finish of the A-main in the AFCS 410 feature will earn $100 and the driver accomplishing the same in the AFCS 305 feature will earn $50.
The AFCS 305 teams will also see six shows paying $1,000 to win in 2019.
“We are excited to help the 305 teams with more money being paid out throughout the season. The two tracks working together will benefit the teams and fans and help strengthen the sport,” said Ryan Schiets, Chair of the Fremont Speedway Board of Directors.
Teams planning to compete for the AFCS title and points fund are required to pay a membership fee of $125 for the 410 sprints and $100 for the 305 sprints.
“As a bonus for becoming an AFCS member, there will be some AFCS members-only giveaways during the season thanks to some great supporters of the series,” Hancock said.
