Churchill Continues Legends Car Return by Entering Bullring Bash

Attleboro, Massachusetts (February 25, 2019) — Talented young veteran Jordan Churchill of Lisbon, CT has joined the Bullring Bash MSD Legends roster for its debut season. The multi-time winner at Connecticut’s New London-Waterford Speedbowl will bring his talent behind the wheel to the trio of all-star events while driving for his friend John O’Sullivan.

“It’s cool to have a little traveling series,” Churchill said. “Being able to go to a couple different tracks other than just Waterford was what the turning point was. That and it’s supposed to be some of the best of the best in New England coming to race!”

“Everyone hopes to win, obviously, but for us, the goal is to hopefully get a good setup down and see how we stack up against all of the people that are going to be going,” Churchill added. “It’s definitely going to be a learning experience to try and figure out what the car likes and what exactly I like, because I’m used to the bigger tracks. So these tracks will hopefully be places to gain and see what I’m learning. It’s always better to go to different tracks and challenge yourself.”

Churchill broke out on the Legend Car scene in 2015 when he earned three wins at New London-Waterford and added another at Massachusett’s Seekonk Speedway. He then moved up to the Sport Trucks, and in 2017, Churchill scored a trio of podium finishes between partial schedules at the Speedbowl and with the Exit Realty ProTruck Series.

Churchill then returned to the Legend Car ranks in 2018 at Waterford driving part-time for John O’Sullivan, which was highlighted by a victory in the Masters Legends feature on August 25. The two will team up again for the Bullring Bash with sponsorship from Bozrah Collison Center, Prokop Signs, and SERVPRO of Windham County on the sides of Churchill’s #25 Ford Coupe.

“John O’Sullivan had two cars, and he and I decided to try and team up and work to get both of his cars as fast as possible – and it turned into me driving his back-up car for him,” Churchill said of his Legend Car comeback. “Then we saw the Bullring Bash, and we decided we might as well go try to tackle something new. Not that the Truck Series isn’t fun or wasn’t fun. Don’t get me wrong – it’s a good time. But we just had a lot more fun in the Legends. It works really well to have such a good friend that has two cars and likes being able to run two cars.”

Churchill has committed to running all three events for the Bullring Bash MSD Legends with his father Wally serving as crew chief. This includes events at N. Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park on June 16 and August 10 plus a visit to Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Speedbowl on September 1. In addition, his own family team has sold their Sport Truck and purchased a new Legend Car to run at other events throughout the summer.

“I’m hoping people seeing this (series) make them realize that the Legend Cars are a lot cooler and a lot more fun than they might look,” Churchill concluded. “They look small, and people are like, ‘oh, that’s so cute.’ But they’re actually a handful to drive. It’s really exciting to see more of a traveling series instead of just a couple of tracks offering weekly series.”
