Thompson’s Test and Tune Postponed Until March 30
THOMPSON, Conn. – Mother Nature isn’t quite ready to see cars on the track in Connecticut.
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park officials announced on Friday that the Test and Tune session originally scheduled for Saturday, March 23, has been postponed until next Saturday, March 30.
With rain, and possibly even snow, scheduled to roll through the area overnight, Thompson officials felt it was in the best interest of competitors to postpone the practice and give teams a chance to practice in pristine conditions.
With the schedule change comes a few announcements that drivers, teams, employees, officials, and fans should keep in mind regarding the upcoming schedule.
• IF inclement weather doesn’t allow for practice on Saturday, the practice will be run on Sunday with a different schedule.
• If anyone purchased a garage stall and can not make it to the track next Saturday, refunds will be available until Thursday, March 28, at 5 p.m. This is a strict deadline for all.
• Camping check-in hours for Sunday, March 31 would NOT change IF the practice can’t be run on Saturday.
• Employee and vendor credentials will not be open tomorrow and will be moved to next Saturday, March 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stay tuned to Thompson’s social media for the latest updates, and we look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday, March 30.
