Another Double-Double Slated for Bacon this Weekend

WINCHESTER, Ind. (May 17, 2019) – Another weekend brings about another double-double for Brady Bacon.

This time, “The Macho Man” will take in both portions of the USAC Sprint Car and USAC Midget doubleheader at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL, on Friday and Saturday.

Bacon will be looking to add another win or two to the USAC Sprint Car win column aboard the Hoffman Racing / Mean Green No. 69 while he rejoins forces with the FMR No. 76 Midget team for the weekend.

It’s also a track that Bacon has found success at in past years.

“I’ve won several winged races there and won in non-wing too,” Bacon recalls.  “And the last Gold Cup there for Midgets, I felt like we had the best car but just little things happened each night.”

Bacon’s last visit to Tri-City Speedway last August resulted in a third-place podium finish in USAC Sprint Car action.

Recent weeks have been dominated by Mother Nature, though Bacon has snuck in a pair of starts along the way including a fourth-place finish in weekly action at Gas City I-69 Speedway on May 3 aboard the Longworth No. 410 non-wing Sprint Car and then a third-place run in USAC competition at Eldora Speedway last Friday night.

He’ll be looking for some wins with four opportunities this weekend before kicking off a busy Memorial Day week of racing action next Wednesday.
