Summer Shootout Young Lions to Benefit from Division Sponsor Pmg

CONCORD, NC (May 14, 2019) – Young Lion Legend Car competitors will have more benefits available to them when racing in the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway this year thanks to new division sponsor PMG. PMG, known in the industry for providing honest and straightforward career path advice and marketing services to aspiring drivers, has teamed up with Charlotte Motor Speedway to award Young Lion racers over $1000 of race budget assistance throughout the Summer Shootout.
PMG is no stranger to Legend Car racing, having worked with drivers like Chase Purdy and Giovanni Bromante during their stints in Legend Car racing before assisting them with a career plan. With PMG’s assistance and guidance, Purdy quickly and successfully ascended through Legends, late models, the ARCA Racing Series and eventually into the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, while Bromante is currently one of the most talked about drivers in super late model racing and has been featured nationally on Fox & Friends as one of the hottest talents in all of motorsports. His current plan has him advancing further up the ladder once he becomes of age to do so.
“We’ve seen too many marketable, promising drivers come to Charlotte looking to impress people with their talents behind the wheel, then quickly fall through the cracks this industry can create,” said J.R. Longley of PMG. “It’s upsetting to see a talented driver miss opportunities, especially when there is so much potential. Most drivers and their families fail to realize how important a solid career plan is for their aspiring racer, even when they are as young as 12 years old, and we take pride in assisting those drivers with achieving their goals and living out their dreams.”

To help racers inch closer to achieving their dreams, PMG is awarding multiple prizes to competitors during each night of the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout based upon their on-track performance. At the end of the summer, a Shootout-long prize will be awarded to the Young Lions division champion. Combined, PMG’s awards and giveaways during the Shootout will exceed $1000 in value.
Recently, PMG also added additional staff in Austin Theriault, former ARCA Racing Series champion and current NASCAR driver.
“Austin has been exactly where these kids are, trying to make a name for himself and find a way to succeed in racing,” Longley said. “Now, racers and their families can talk candidly with him about how he achieved his success and how important planning and execution were from the beginning. While Austin continues to compete at the highest levels of the sport, he will be an asset to PMG and it’s clients.”
Austin and the rest of the PMG team will be available to meet with racers and their families in the garage during the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout. Guests and visitors who visit the PMG display can expect various giveaways throughout the course of the summer, as well.
