Dialing in for Indiana Midget Week
Cannon McIntosh Set for POWRi West in Oklahoma City on Saturday
BIXBY, Okla. (May 31, 2019) – Cannon McIntosh and the Dave Mac Motorsports Toyota-TRD Spike No. 08 team are set to take on the POWRi West Midget League on Saturday night at Oklahoma City’s I-44 Riverside Speedway.
It will be one last opportunity to get dialed in before the team takes in its first edition of USAC’s Indiana Midget Week that fires off Tuesday night.
“Hopefully we can go get a win and carry some good momentum into Midget Week,” the 16-year-old from Bixby, OK, commented.
McIntosh has found success at I-44 Riverside Speedway in the past, winning the most recent stand-alone POWRi West event atop the 1/5-mile clay oval last July.
He was also in the lead mix during both nights of March’s POWRi National Midget League action only to be derailed with misfortune.
Already a winner in USAC National Midget competition earlier in the year at the Shamrock Classic, a Hard Charger run at Tri-City Speedway two weeks ago was followed up by a tough outing at Lake Ozark Speedway on Sunday that netted an 18th-place finish.
“It was just one of those nights,” McIntosh summed up.
McIntosh looks for good momentum on Saturday night in Oklahoma City before firing off his first Indiana Midget Week experience on Tuesday night at Montpelier Motor Speedway.
Along with Toyota-TRD, other marketing partners making the 2019 Cannon McIntosh slate of events possible includes Sanders and Associates, Car and Fleet, Mobil 1, Speedway Engine Development, Best Graphics, Fieldhouse Gear, Precision Inspection, Panels by Smoke, Walker Performance, Sanders Wheels, American Discount Brake and Muffler, D&N Fabrication, Darling Ingredients, PJ’s and Hinds Family.
