Kaylee Bryson Set for POWRi Illinois Speedweek
MUSKOGEE, Okla. (June 12, 2019) – Kaylee Bryson is set to continue her Rookie of the Year pursuit with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League with this week’s Illinois Speedweek aboard the Dave Mac Motorsports No. 11b Toyota-TRD entry.
With the originally scheduled Wednesday night opener at Belle-Clair Speedway rained out, the remaining four races get underway at Brownstown’s Fayette County Speedway on Thursday before moving on to Jacksonville Speedway on Friday, Macon Speedway on Saturday and then Lincoln Speedway on Sunday.
“We’ve had a couple of weeks off, I’m ready to go race,” the 18-year-old from Muskogee commented.
With the exception of Jacksonville, the remaining tracks on the POWRi Illinois Speedweek will all be new territory for Bryson. In her previous Midget start at Jacksonville, Bryson raced her way into the feature event only to have the night cut short by rain.
Making the move from the Micro Sprint ranks, Bryson has been making a quick transition to the Midgets with a top-five finish in Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget competition already to her credit.
Thursday’s Speedweek opener at Fayette County Speedway will mark Bryson’s first action since May 26 at Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway.
Along with Toyota-TRD, other marketing partners making the 2019 slate of events for Bryson possible includes Sanders and Associates, Car and Fleet, Mobil 1, Speedway Engine Development, Best Graphics, Fieldhouse Gear, Precision Inspection, Panels by Smoke, Walker Performance, Sanders Wheels, American Discount Brake and Muffler, D&N Fabrication, Darling Ingredients, PJ’s and Hinds Family.
