Little DCRP Back in Action on Sunday with Round Four

DODGE CITY, Kan. (June 27, 2019) – The 1/7-mile Little DCRP clay oval at Dodge City Raceway Park fires back to action this Sunday with the fourth round of competition for Micro Sprints and Karts.

The card that goes green at 4:00 p.m. features Micro Sprint divisions including Winged “A” Class, Non-Wing “A” Class, Restricted “A” Class and Junior Sprints (Novice and Advanced) along with Go Karts (Junior and Adult), Open Outlaw Go Karts and 500-cc Outlaw Cage Karts.

Pit Gates open at 1:00 p.m.  Draw will begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. with hot laps getting underway at 3:15 p.m.

With two events completed after the inaugural tilt was interrupted by tornadoes, a handful of drives enter Sunday’s action undefeated in feature competition including Tanner Johnson in Winged “A” Class, Trey Zorn in Restricted “A” Class, Deekan McRoberts in Novice Junior Sprints, Caleb Berthof in Junior Karts and Rex Garrison in Outlaw Cage Karts.

Those five drivers lead their respective point chases with other current points leaders including Zak Moore and Kohl Ricke in a tie for the Non-Wing “A” Class lead, Briggs Williams and Keenan Hernandez in a tie for the Advanced Junior Sprint lead, Gage Robertson and Daniel Williams in a tie for the Adult Kart lead and Tyler Walker in Outlaw Open Karts.

General admission to the grandstands is just $10 with children 11 and under admitted free.  Pit passes are $20.

Sunday’s card marks the fourth of eight scheduled Sunday events atop the Little DCRP clay oval.

In total, the 2019 season atop the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval is slated for 18 nights of action along with another eight Sunday cards atop the newly-constructed 1/7-mile Little DCRP clay oval.
