Bacon Races to Strong World of Outlaws Finish

Leffler Memorial this Weekend

Lonnie Wheatley, WINCHESTER, Ind. (October 17, 2019) – After rallying to a sixth-place finish with the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car series on Sunday night at Haubstadt, Indiana’s Tri-State Speedway, it’s back to the Midget ranks for Brady Bacon this week.

“The Macho Man” will join forces with the FMR No. 76e Midget team for Thursday night’s “Jason Leffler Memorial” at Wayne County Speedway in Wayne City, IL.

It will mark Bacon’s first Midget action since dicing for the lead at early September’s “BC39” event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Dirt Track.

Bacon enters Thursday’s action after another pair of top-ten finishes that pushes the total to 58 in 98 overall starts.

Prior to Sunday’s World of Outlaws outing, Bacon posted a seventh-place finish in USAC Sprint Car action at Lawrenceburg Speedway aboard the Hoffman Racing/Mean Green No. 69 entry on Friday, October 4, making it 25 top-tens in the last 26 series feature events.  Bacon led the way early on in the “Fall Nationals” event only to cut a tire before rebounding to get back into the top ten.

Bacon followed that up by charging from the 14th starting position to capture a sixth-place Sunday night finish in WoO competition at Haubstadt.

“I didn’t feel like we were as good as we usually are at Haubstadt, but we still were able to make a good night out of it,” Bacon explains.

A winner of the “Jason Leffler Memorial” in 2016, Bacon will try to add a second win in the event on Thursday night.
