Super Kart Series 2020 Class Structure Announced for Weedsport Kartway

WEEDSPORT, NY (November 14, 2019) – The 2020 class structure for Weedsport Kartway’s Super Kart Series will now feature eight divisions competing for the coveted title of Weedsport Kartway Track Champion.

All plates classes will remain intact from 2019 including Jr. Red Clone (5-7 yrs., 225 lbs.), Jr. Green Clone (7-9 yrs., 250 lbs.), Jr. Purple Clone (9-13 yrs., 275 lbs. ) and Jr. Blue Clone (12-15 yrs., 310 lbs.).  Drivers cannot compete in more than one plate class.

Jr. Unrestricted (13-15 yrs., 325 lbs.) will be added to the series lineup in 2020.  Drivers competing in Jr. Unrestricted can also compete in Jr. Blue Clone.

Senior classes will once again see Clone Light (15 yrs. & up, 340 lbs.) and Clone Heavy (15 yrs. & up, 375 lbs.).

Clone Super Heavy will now require a driver weight minimum of 200 lbs. (with gear) and overall weight of 400 lbs.

All Clone engine rules will follow the AKRA engine package.

Senior Clone engine rules, including Jr. Unrestricted, follow AKRA “Box Stock” rules with the following exceptions: A big pipe (any stage) may be used. Open clutches and stock flywheels will be allowed.

Junior classes (Red, Green, Purple, Blue) will be utilizing the small pipe with twist on RLV muffler. Maximum of 19″ on height of pipe. Drum Clutches will be mandatory for all junior plate classes.

All classes will be required to compete with the Burris 33a tire.
