2020 Season at Lime Rock Park to Feature Five Major Racing Events, Kicking Off with New Touring Car Festival on May 8-9
“We’re pleased to add this new event to next year’s schedule,” said Skip Barber, Lime Rock Park President. “Both TC America and Pirelli GT4 America bring a high-level of excitement and close racing action.”
Lime Rock’s 2020 Season will continue on May 22-25 with the Memorial Day Classic featuring the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli with Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) and International GT. The traditional holiday weekend will also include the annual Royal’s Garage Sunday Car Show and a Farm-To-Track Picnic, both held on Sunday, May 24.
On June 12 and 13, Lime Rock hosts the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) New England Regionals with classes for every kind of race car imaginable, from virtually stock sedans and sports cars to formula cars of every type.
Lime Rock’s biggest race of the year, the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix, will be held on July 17-18 with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. This fan-favorite weekend features the fastest GT cars in the country with the GTLM and GTD classes racing simultaneously in the two hour and 40-minute WeatherTech SportsCar race.
Rounding out the season will be the 38th annual Historic Festival held over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-7. Along with 36 races held over three days, the event features the Sunday in the Park Concours and Gathering of the Marques with more than 800 cars on display around the track. This year’s Festival is poised to be larger than ever with the addition of race cars from Vintage Racer Group (VRG) as well as the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA).
Tickets are currently on sale at discounted holiday pricing. For more information and to order tickets for each event, visit www.LimeRock.com.
