Enduros to Kick off 2020 season at Evergreen Raceway
We are excited to announce that March 28th will kick off our 2020 racing season. It will be highlighted with a 4 cylinder enduro utilizing the new road course. The 6/8 cylinders have also been asked to attend using the Outlaw Enduro series rules(we will have them posted on the website), they will also compete on the inner loop. Both races will go for a 100 lap distance. The first open practice for all divisions will be held the following week on April 5th.
Towards the end of the 2019 racing season, Evergreen Raceway along with Franzosa Trucking and Wanick Construction, installed an inner loop off of the backstretch. Promoter Jason Makarewicz had this to say about the new addition: “I wanted to try something different, I want Evergreen Raceway to be a multi-use facility, so along with some great sponsors, we got it done.” This past King of the Green’s enduro event was slated to use the new configuation, but heavy rains and standing water on the new pavement were a recipe for disaster to the surface.
Evergreen Raceway’s popular drifting events are held once a month and they had the opportunity to test out the new inner loop and automatically fell in love. There were record turnouts by the drift squad in 2019.
The final details of the 2020 season are just about finished. Stay tuned in for the release of the rules and full schedule in the near future!
