Arizona Dirt Track Tour on the Way to Central Arizona Speedway

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (February 6, 2020) – Following a rousing season opener last weekend, Central Arizona Speedway is gearing up for three days of activity atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in Casa Grande beginning on Sunday.

Central Arizona Speedway will host the Fourth Annual Arizona Dirt Track Tour on Sunday and Tuesday with an open practice session mixed in between on Monday night.

Sunday’s racing action goes green at 1:00 p.m. with Tuesday evening’s card getting under way at 7:00 p.m.  Monday’s open practice session is set for 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Both the Sunday and Tuesday rounds of the Arizona Dirt Track Tour will offer up three IMCA divisions with $2,000 up for grabs for the IMCA Modifieds and $750 to win for both the IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars.

In four previous Arizona Dirt Track Tour events at Central Arizona Speedway, only Ricky Thornton, Jr., has been able to repeat with a win in the 2018 IMCA Modified finale and then a victory in the 2019 opener.  Missouri’s Hunter Marriott topped the 2018 Modified opener with Wyoming’s Eddie Kirchoff besting last year’s finale.

The IMCA Sport Modified have offered up four different winners in as many Arizona Dirt Track Tour events at CAS including the home-state duo of Chase Alves and Bo Partain in 2018 before Minnesota’s Jim Horejsi and Iowa’s Jake McBirnie topped last year’s events.

The IMCA Stock Cars are part of the Arizona Dirt Track Tour for the first time this year.

Admission for the Arizona Dirt Track Tour events at CAS is just $20 for adults with children 11 and under admitted for free.

Central Arizona Speedway is located at 512 S. Eleven Mile Corner Road in Casa Grande, AZ, behind the Pinal County Fairgrounds.  For more information, contact the track at 520-709-0718 or check online at www.centralarizonaspeedway.com.
