DIRTcar National, Regional Points Set to Resume This Weekend

CONCORD, NC – June 10, 2020 – This weekend, full national and regional points for all nine divisions of DIRTcar Racing will resume after nearly three months of hiatus due to nationwide restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Points will continue being tallied starting with the DIRTcar-sanctioned events scheduled for this Friday, June 12. All participants MUST be registered 2020 DIRTcar members to be eligible for national/regional point fund money.

As of June 10, all DIRTcar competition designated eligible for national/regional points contested from January 3 through March 14 has been counted toward the current standings. Those standings will be uploaded to the points section of DIRTcar.com by this Thursday, June 11.

Under normal yearly procedure, drivers are able to earn points through the final weekend in September, culminating with the Fall Nationals event traditionally held in the first weekend of October. However, DIRTcar officials are currently considering extending the points season through the end of October – a decision will be made within the next 30 days.

The number of best finishes for each driver counting toward national/regional points standings will have no change. Top 35 for Late Models, top 30 for UMP Modifieds and top 20 for all other DIRTcar divisions.

A fully updated DIRTcar master schedule will be posted on DIRTcar.com in the coming weeks. For the latest updates on which tracks are open for racing, stay tuned to all DIRTcar Racing website and social media channels in addition to your local track’s channels.
