Claremont Motorsports Park Welcomes Back Fans

Friday night June 19, Claremont Motorsports Park will swing open the gates and welcome in fans for the first time in 2020.

After a pair of highly successful pay per view events with empty grandstands, the third-mile oval on Thrasher Rd. will race in front of a live crowd. Grandstands will open at 5:30 with heat races starting at 7:30 to be promptly followed by feature events for all six divisions in action.

“While it has been great to be racing it just isn’t the same without our loyal fans”, stated track promoter Mike Parks. “This track has always had a loyal following and it will be awesome to have them back cheering on their favorite drivers”. He went on to say “We value the safety of everybody involved and will be doing everything possible to practice good social distancing.” He then added,  “We love our fans, drivers, and teams and want to make sure everyone stays healthy”.

Grandstand admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12, and kids under 6 will be free. The concession stand as well as the beer garden will be open as well with plenty of food and beverage.

Headlining this event will be the N.H.S.T.R.A. Late Model Sportsman division. This will be their first time on the track in 2020 and the racing is expected to hot and heavy. Many of the drivers expected to compete have logged practice laps but this will be their first laps run in anger.

Also on the card will be the Exit Realty New England Truck Series who will contest The You-tube Guy 55. A number of the top competitors on the tour have filed early entries and a solid field of trucks is expected.

The RE Hinkley Oil Company Street Stocks will race in front of fans for the first time in 2020. They have contested two absolute barn burners won by 2019 champ, David Greenslit, and young gun Jimmy Renfrew Jr. The “streeters” have become one of New England’s most exciting and popular divisions over the last few years and will without a doubt, prove it again Friday night.

Both the Six Shooters and the Lavalley Building Supply Pure Stocks have two races under their belts in 2020 and the racing has been spectacular. Both will be racing for points for the first time this season as the championship hunt kicks off for all competing divisions.

For this event, fans will be asked to follow the social distancing guidelines set forth by the state of New Hampshire. While in line for tickets or concessions, race fans will be asked to stay six feet apart. While seated it is asked that spectators maintain groups of ten or less and spread apart from other groups. Masks are recommended and fans will be asked to follow all social distancing practices possible.
