Shawn Swallow 2020 Late Model Champ at Riverside Speedway
Shawn Swallow wins his first LMS championship at Riverside Speedway Saturday night and despite a cold front, Shawn brought the Swallow N Sons Concrete and Landscaping 04 home in fourth to win his first LMS title at Riverside Speedway. Mike Kenison brought the DK-N-Sons Chevrolet home first for the second week in a row and second for the season in the point standings. Jamie Swallow JR. finished the night second with Barre Vermont’s Mike Bailey making his first start at Riverside in 2020 memorable by finishing third in the Late Model 75 lap race.
The EKeys4Cars Formula Fours saw Chris Caron pretty much sew up the championship with his first-place finish. Young Luke Shannon ended the night with second and Jacob Roy was third.
The Scottie Frazier’s 2To Go Show Flying Tigers saw Neon Nick Gilcris head down pit road during the parade laps for leaking fuel but he joined the rear of the field and fought his way to the front and for the second week in a row came home with a win. Rowdy Brad Bushey finished the night second with Tom Mechant in the third spot.
White Mountains College Community Bone Stock four cylinders saw Oxford’s Jamie Heath visit victory lane in the 91 with Dustin Sally in second and Justin Prescott ending the night in third spot.
In the Claudette and Deans Place DareDevils, Luke Shannon won the night in the #13. Dan Stinson’s #53 came in second with Windsor Hodgdon #23 in third.
Lil Rascals Dwarf cars saw Richie Turner steal the win off turn four from young Paxton Call who ended the night in second and Brad Sanborn fought his way to third for the night. Also, Saturday night was the one-year anniversary of the Humphrey family taking ownership of the speedway and they would like to thank all the competitors and fans, and sponsors for a great first season and they look forward to many more. Next Saturday night it’s the season-ending point championships for all divisions. Action starts at four p.m. with the pit gate opening at noon. Hope to see you there.
