ATQMRA Up-To Speed 10/28/2020
Good Evening,
Congratulations to Joey Bailey and the #1B Team on earning the victory at Waterford this weekend, their 2nd of the 2020 season. We now move our focus to Bethel Motor Speedway for race 6 of the year on Saturday, November 7th, 2020.
Tires and Fuel
For the remainder of the season, tires and fuel will be available for pick-up at The Sload Residence. Karen sent out an email earlier today, the final tire order of the year will be made tomorrow morning. Please reach out to her directly, ASAP if you need something. Bethel Schedule
While I do not have anything official, The Bethel Motor Speedway Facebook Page is advertising gates opening at 12:00 PM, with practice at 1:00 PM and racing at 2:00 PM. I will be reaching out to them directly over the next week or so looking for something a little bit more concrete. As a reminder, the pits are generally a mess when it comes to parking. Always arrive early there if you can help it.
Bethel Handicap
This will be our last race of the season where we use the handicap system. Your handicap is based on your last 3 starts in the series this season.

Some disclaimers on the handicap. The #27 is now the #2. It is the same car, but Mike got a new wrap design that will debut at Bethel. There are two tie’s (#76 and #98)(#51 and #12). Within the 3 race span being counted, the #76 had a worse finish than the #98, just as the #51 did the #12. The worst finish of a car acts as a tiebreaker in handicap just as a car’s best finish would act as a tiebreaker in points. The #51 car received last place points at Waterford for making an honest attempt by turning a lap in practice and experienced a non-intentional failure.
Bethel Entry List
Obviously, Waterford didn’t go as planned for many of us. Please let me know if you plan on attending Bethel on the 7th (and Turkey Derby for that matter). I would like to work on an entry list to submit to the track’s PA Announcer.
Turkey Derby
I do not have anything official for Turkey Derby yet, but we 100% expect to run the event and we 100% expect to run the event on Saturday as normal. This is based on conversation’s Buddy had with Emily Krause this past week. I know there have been some rumors on if the event will take place. However, as of this evening, the Wall Stadium sign at the main entrance was lit up advertising the event. As always, I will provide updates as received.
