Craig Lutz and TJ Duke Top Practice for North-South Shootout

(Sophia, NC):  Craig Lutz sits atop the time chart after the final round of optional practice for the “Tour Type” Modifieds preparing for the 18th Annual “John Blewett III Memorial presented in Memory of Charles Kepley”.  Lutz powered his potent #46 to a lap of 15.958 seconds around the high banked .455 mile speedway.  That translated to a speed of 102.644 miles per hour and edged Jeff Fultz in the “Brady Bunch” #00.  Fultz posted a time of 15.967 seconds or 102.587.  Anthony Nocella, Tommy Catalano, Austin Kochenash, Gary Putnam, and Chris Finocchario rounded out the eight cars that took advantage of the optional practice.  More than a dozen more Modifieds were on site but did not practice.

T J Duke topped the three Super Late Models on site for today’s session.  Kyle Desouza and Michael Ritch also took part in the practice session.  Carson Kvapil, Brandon Setzer, Justin Crider, and Tyler Church were on the early entry list with others expected for Saturday’s 150 lapper.

Kevin Orlando and Rich Hunter let the 602 Modified Tour entries while Riley Neal topped the 602 Super Limited list.  Tommy Neal was quickest in Limited Late Model practice.
