Central Arizona Speedway Closes Out 2020 Season with Next Weekend’s Desert Thunder Nationals!
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (November 12, 2020) – Central Arizona Speedway will put the wraps on an abbreviated 2020 racing season with next weekend’s Seventh Annal Desert Nationals atop the 3/8-mile clay oval.
Following a Thursday night practice session from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Seventh Annual Desert Nationals kicks off with the first of three consecutive rounds of action on Friday night, November 20, at 7:00 p.m.
Round Two takes place on Saturday night with the green flag flying at 6:00 p.m. with the Desert Thunder Nationals then coming to a conclusion with Sunday’s November 22 tilt that goes green at 1:00 p.m.
IMCA Modifieds will headline the Seventh Annual Desert Thunder Nationals with the IMCA Sport Modifieds Pure Stocks and Power 600 Non-Wing Micro Sprints vying for Desert Thunder Nationals honors as well over each of the three cards.
Entry fee for the three-day weekend is $100 for IMCA Modifieds and $75 for the IMCA Sport Modifieds.
R.C. Whitwell topped the opening two legs of last year’s Desert Thunder Nationals IMCA Modified action before Jeff Taylor foiled a perfect weekend for the Tucson native in the Sunday final, while Sioux City, Iowa’s Cody Thompson swept through all three portions of IMCA Sport Modified action to post a perfect weekend.
General admission is just $20 for adults for each round of Desert Thunder Nationals action with children 11 and under admitted free. Central Arizona Speedway is a cash-only facility.
