Midstate Site Development Firecracker 30 Returns for the 2021 Season
(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2nd consecutive season, Midstate Site Development of Bloomfield, CT will serve as the sponsor for the biggest Street Stock race of the season, The Midstate Site Development Firecracker 30. The 30-lap special event is slated for Friday, July 2nd and will feature total posted awards of over $5,000 for Stafford’s Street Stock division. The evening will be capped off with a Fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day.
“The response we received from the competitors last season was great,” explained Glenn Korner of Midstate Site Development. “We enjoy supporting Stafford and the racers who compete there. We’re excited to be able to once again support a big event for the Street Stock teams.”
The Midstate Site Development Firecracker 30 debuted in 2020 as a showcase event for Stafford’s Street Stock division. Eventual champion Zack Robinson took home the big win, including a nearly $800 payday. Meg Fuller and Adrien Paradis completed the podium pocketing $500 and $400 respectively.
The 2021 Midstate Site Development Firecracker 30 will be wide open with 2020 winner Zack Robinson moving up to the Late Model division and runner-up Meg Fuller moving to the SK Light Modified division. 2020 Street Stock feature winners Frank L’Etoile, Jr., Chris Meyer, Travis Hydar, and Jason Lafayette are all set to return to the division in 2021 and will be the early favorites for the July 2nd event. Total prize money for 2nd Annual event will exceed $5,000 with $700 guaranteed to the winner.
“We’re looking forward to continuing the Firecracker 30 and want to thank Glenn and the entire Midstate Site Development team for their support,” explained Stafford Speedway CEO Mark Arute. “Due to the delayed opening last season the Firecracker 30 was only the 2nd event of the season and we hope that is not the case in 2021. The Street Stocks continue to be one of the best shows each Friday and we’re glad to be able to have a night to spotlight these drivers.”
