Short Track Super Series ‘Cajun Region’ Heads to Thunder Valley Speedway This Saturday, April 17

GLENMORA, LA – Following a historic series opener at Chatham Speedway, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco ‘Cajun Region’ prepares for its second-ever event this weekend.

Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, La., will host the STSS Cajun Region Modifieds for the first time this Saturday, April 17. The race will be the Day Motor Sports point series event No. 2 for the STSS Cajun Region competitors.

A 20-lap feature paying $1,000 to win plus bonuses will be preceded by 8-lap heat races.

Mansfield, La.’s Cody Robbins won the inaugural event back on April 3 over Tommy Rascoe of Converse, La., and Caleb Dillard of Many, La. Robbins, who started eighth, executed a last-lap pass to win the series inaugural event in dramatic fashion.

Attention now turns to the banked Thunder Valley bullring.

On Saturday, pit gates open at 4 p.m. Grandstands unlock at 5 p.m. Hot laps begin at 7:30 p.m., with racing starting at 8 p.m.

Pit admission is $35 for adults. Kids (ages 6-12) pay $20 and Children 5 and under are FREE. Transponders are not required for STSS Modifieds.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults. Seniors and Military with ID are $12. Kids (ages 6-12) pay $10 and Children 5 and under are FREE.

The ‘Cajun Region’ is designed to provide local Louisiana and Texas competitors local events throughout the season with a point fund in place thanks to a partnership with Day Motor Sports of Tyler, Texas and American Racer Tires.
