Short Track Super Series Cajun Region Event at Thunder Valley Speedway Postponed to April 24

GLENMORA, LA – Heavy rain, with more than four inches recorded at the speedway by Friday, forced the postponement of Saturday’s (April 17) Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Cajun Region event at Thunder Valley Speedway.

Promoter Derek Perkins has opted to postpone the STSS Cajun Region Modified event at the Glenmora, Pa., facility to next Saturday, April 24.

“We’re flooded,” Perkins said. “And we’ve got more rain on the way.”

The second round of the 2021 Day Motor Sports point series now waits until the 24th of April at Thunder Valley. After the opening round of the Cajun Region at Chatham, La., Cody Robbins sits atop the point standings after his drive from eighth position to victory at Jerry Hobson’s facility.

On April 24, pit gates open at 4 p.m. Grandstands unlock at 5 p.m. Hot laps begin at 7:30 p.m., with racing starting at 8 p.m.

Pit admission is $35 for adults. Kids (ages 6-12) pay $20 and Children 5 and under are FREE. Transponders are not required for STSS Modifieds.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults. Seniors and Military with ID are $12. Kids (ages 6-12) pay $10 and Children 5 and under are FREE.

A reminder to race teams that have not filed a membership for the 2021 season: it can be turned in at Chatham this Saturday. The link follows: http://shorttracksuperseriescajun.com/?page_id=72
