Granite State Pro Stock Series Heads to Monadnock Speedway For Race Two

WALPOLE, N.H. — With one race down, and 14 left on the 2021 schedule, the Granite State Pro Stock returns to the track on Sunday, May 2, at Monadnock Speedway. Set for 100 laps around the high-banks, the series heads back to one of its staple tracks for the first of two visits during the season.

The entry list for the race includes former series champions, winners and standouts, along with young rising drivers looking to make a name for themselves. Former Granite State Pro Stock Series champion Devin O’Connell is registered to return to competition, rolling into a busy weekend with his Tri Track Open Modified Series entry on Saturday night, and Pro Stock entry on Sunday.

Barry Gray plans to return to the seat at Monadnock, a track he’s carried the checkered flag at before. Although his son, Adam, wheeled the No. 29 at the opener at Stafford Motor Speedway, Barry looks to drive to the front of the field himself this week. Also add former series winners Angelo Belsito, Josh King, Mike Mitchell, and former champion Mike O’Sullivan to the list.

Young rising star Tyler Tomassi, who grew up racing in the Bandolero division at Seekonk Speedway, is set for another start with the series. He is scheduled to be joined by Gabe Brown, the youngest Pro Stock champion in the history of Oxford Plains Speedway, Casey Call, the defending Granite State Pro Stock Series Rookie of the Year, Kyle Harvell, Trevor Bleau, Alexander Pearl and more.

The Granite State Pro Stock Series will practice from 11:30-12:15 p.m. on Sunday, with a quick tire scuff session also set for 1:15-1:30 p.m. The qualifying racing will begin at 2 p.m., with the feature to follow. The estimated drop of the green flag will be at 5 p.m. The race will air to a live audience on Speed51.TV and will also be available on-demand to their subscribers.

Tickets at the track are $20 for adults, with seniors set at $15, children ages 11-18 at $10 and those 10-years-old and under just $5.
