Mekaylah Bowen Victorious at Riverside

Mekaylah Bowen of Morrisville VT. got her first feature win Saturday night at Riverside Speedway and Adventure Park. Bowen took the lead on a lap two restart after Dan Stinson JR. went over the turn two bank and into the catch fence. When racing resumed, Bowen took the lead and never looked back for her first EKeys4cars Formula Four win. Last week’s winner Brian Putney chased Andrew Fecteau through traffic with Fecteau finishing second and Putney claiming third.

In the M.H. Humphrey Lil Rascals Dwarf cars, Justin Harris came away with the win in a brand new machine while Lee NH’s Tom Harwood ended the night in second and Hiram ME’s Roger Edgecomb was third.

The Claudette and Deans Place DareDevils didn’t disappoint as young Connor Charbonneau was first across the finish line in his # 6 while St. Johnsbury’s Brandon Sheldon finished second and Kameryn Ledger was third in her #17 car.

The Bay Haven Lobster Pound and Restaurant 350 Super modifieds were fast with just one quick caution. Dave Helliwell led all the way until the final lap coming to the checkered flag the #14 of Jeffery Battle just nipped Helliwell at the line for the win with Helliwell second and Brenna Humphrey in the third spot.

The new R.N. Craft street stocks put on a great show as last week’s winner Nick Gilcris battled all the way to the finish with Starks Nate Swallow. Swallow got the win with the #2 of Gilcris in second and Groveton’s Chris Caron ended the evening in third.

The Bad Boy Mowers of Morrisville VT. 4 cylinder Bone Stocks went green to checkers in their 20 lap event. Irasburg VT’s Aaron Smith got out front early and held on for the win with Dummer NH’s Shawn Hood a close second and finishing in the third spot was Chris Cass in #7x. After not meeting the tech inspection by 76 and 7X, the 09 Nick Odgen and 03 Jullian Kenison were declared the 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

Next week will be the Creative Counters Late Models back in town for 75 laps along with the Claudette and Dean’s Place Daredevils, The Bad Boy Mowers 4 cylinder Bone Stocks, the EKEYS4Cars Formula Fours, Bay Haven 350 Supers, and the Bone Stock 6&8 cylinders.
