Event rescheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Memorial Day
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway officials have postponed the Northeast Crate Nationals to Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 at 4:00 p.m. due to inclement weather. Forecasts call for rain at race time on Sunday night, and all indications point to a washout.
The forecast looks good for Monday, and racing is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m., and grandstand and infield drive-in parking will open at 2:30 p.m. All pre-purchased tickets and pit passes will be honored; fans and participants must keep their ticket stubs and wristbands.
Sportsman Modified drivers will have three chances to qualify for the 100-lap, $5,000-to-win race on Monday, through group time trials, consolation races, and B-Main. The Top 10 starters were locked into the 32-car field on Saturday night.
The Sprint Cars of New England tour will open its 2021 season on Monday as well, with qualifying heats and a 25-lap feature. Limited Sportsman division will also hold consis and a B-Main to set its 30-car feature on Monday, and features will be run for the Super Stock, Mini Stock, and 500cc Mini Sprint divisions.
Racing is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under). Tickets are still available online at https://buytickets.at/devilsbowlspeedway and at the speedway on race day at 4:30 p.m. Infield drive-in parking will be $25 for adults and free for kids, available at the speedway. Pit passes are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. All Saturday and Sunday tickets and wristbands will be honored.
