Penn Can Speedway ‘Clash at the Can’ Postponed to Tuesday, June 1

SUSQUEHANNA, PA – All-day rain starting by 8:30 a.m. and predicted throughout the afternoon and evening, has forced the postponement of Sunday’s ‘Clash at the Can’ at Penn Can Speedway to Tuesday, June 1.

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds now tackle the Susquehanna County oval on Tuesday for Round No. 3 of the Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply North Region $12,000 championship chase.

All scheduled times and pricing will remain in effect for Tuesday.

“We hate to postpone any race, especially this one,” Penn Can promoter Gary Folk Sr. said. “But the forecast leaves us no choice.”

STSS Modifieds take part in 10-lap heat races and a 50-lap feature paying $5,000 minimum to win, $1,000 for 10th-place and $400 to start plus special awards and bonuses including a $500 Hard Charger from Land Hoe Maintenance and $200 Superior Remodeling Halfway Leader.

Anthony Perrego of Middletown, N.Y., leads the North Region into Penn Can by five points over Mike Mahaney entering the North Region’s third round.

Pit Gates will open at 3 p.m., with Grandstand Gates unlocked at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m.

Admission is $20 (Adults). Kids 10 and under are FREE.

Pit Admission is $40 (no license required) and $15 for ages 14 and under.
