Justin Bonsignore Looks to Get to Tri Track Victory Lane With $10,000 Check at Seekonk Speedway

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — Justin Bonsignore will look to park in Tri Track Open Modified Series Victory Lane for the first time in his career on Wednesday, June 30, when the series returns to Massachusetts and Seekonk Speedway’s third-mile oval. Driving the No. 00 Modified for Jimmy Paige Racing, Bonsignore will compete in the Speed51 Modified Madness, a 100-lap race worth $10,000 to the winner as part of the annual Open Wheel Wednesday.

In Bonsignore’s first two efforts driving for Paige this season, he finished fourth in the opener at Monadnock Speedway on May 1 — but failed to finish the second race at Star Speedway on May 22, due to an overheating issue. The two-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion is excited to return to Seekonk’s third-mile and chase the big check.

“I always seem to run well at Seekonk in the cars I have driven down there in the past,” Bonsignore said. “I love the facility and the track, and I’m excited to go back there after not going there at all last year. Jimmy Paige, Steve Lemay (crew chief), and the entire team have been working hard and we’ve been running well. We were a top-three car at Star, with just an issue we couldn’t control. We’re looking forward to working together again and continuing to build our relationship. We want to get that bad race behind us and try and have a good run at Seekonk and contend for the big $10,000 check.”

Practice for Tri Track teams will be one-hour, lasting from 3:45-4:45 p.m., while qualifying heat races will begin at 6:30 p.m., kicking off a full night of racing action. The Tri Track Open Modified Series will run heats, two consi races, and the 100-lap feature that will conclude the night. The 350 SMAC Supermodifieds and the NEMA Lites will also join the show.

General admission grandstand tickets are $30 for adults, with children 6-12 years old set at $10. Any kids five and under can enter the grandstands for free.
