Race of Champions Sportsman Modified and Super Stock Series to Headline Spencer Speedway Opener, Friday, July 16
– Points and Money on the Line in 66th Season Opener at Spencer –
Williamson, N.Y. – (July 5, 2021) – Race of Champions Sportsman Modified and Super Stock Series competitors will headline at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., during the 66th Annual Season opening event on Friday, July 16, 2021.
The Sportsman Modified Series will take part in a 35-lap $2,000-to-win feature, while the Super Stock Series will race for 25-laps and $1,000-to-win.
“We are excited,” stated Tommy Barron of Ontario, N.Y., who was the 2019 Super Stock Series champion as well as the winner at Lake Erie Speedway on Saturday, June 5. “Spencer is our home track. Many of us live pretty close to the track and we are looking forward to getting back to business there. It’s going to be a fun night.”
At Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pa., on Saturday, June 5, Daryl Lewis, Jr., of Ontario, N.Y., also scored his first Sportsman Modified victory. The Lewis name is synonymous with Spencer Speedway.
“After the track didn’t operate in 2020 during the pandemic, things didn’t look too good,” began Lewis. “But in the last month, things have really come together and we can’t wait to get back to racing at Spencer. It’s home and we are looking forward to being there.”
The “Food Truck Frenzy” featuring local food trucks and tastes from the area will also make its return.
The gates for the 66th Annual season opener will swing open for fans at 5:00pm with qualifying at 7:15pm. The Sportsman and Super Stocks will be joined by the Wilbert’s Four Cylinder and Wilbert’s Super Six Division.

Tickets: $15 General Admission; $12 Senior/Military (65-years and older. Military with proper identification); Children 15-10 years of age will be admitted for $10. Four Pack $45 (Two Adults, Two Children). Children under the age of 10 will be admitted Free for this event.
