Jordan Fornwalt Big Winner in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds
“The Professor” Chris Donnelly shows the big boys how to “get R done” in the ESS Inaugural Event
Lucky’s Trailer Sales night Feature winners: Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Jordan Fornwalt; Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes Ricky Sanville; USAC DMA Midgets off return 7/31; C.A. Miller Limited Late Models off return 7/31; LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Lucas Wheeler; Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders Feature #1 John LaForest & Feature #2 Kevin LaForest. Empire Super Sprints Chris Donnelly.
In the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds until last night there was only one repeat winner with Jason Gray being the dominant one so far in the class. That all came to an end last night when Jordan Fornwalt was able to hold off the hard-fought challenges of his competitors to cross the line first under the checkers for his second win of the season. This brought the points battle a bit closer as we move into the second half of the season, making the championship title still up for grabs for several drivers. Richie Simmons had a good run finishing in second with Robert Tucker taking the final victory lane spot. Todd Buckwold and Jeremy Huntoon rounded out the top five.
Ricky Sanville scores the win in Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes making it his second win of the season putting him in the elite multi-winners club. Coming from deep in the pack he took over the lead to cruise on for the win. Cody Gregoropoulos held on for second with Flying Ryan Christian grabbing third. Tim Martin and Earl Maxham rounded out the top five.
The USAC DMA Midgets were off and will return to action 7/31/2021.
The C.A. Miller Limited Late Models were off and will return to action 7/31/2021.
The LaValley Building Supply are on the verge of having enough cars to have three heats to set up their main event as car counts continue to grow. Despite the increased competition Lucas Wheeler continues to dominate the field as he scores his fifth win of the season. The ones looking at his dust crossing the line second and third behind him were Mike Stender and Jesse Dunham. Mike Mann and Troy Prentice back in a Dirt Stock completed the top five.
The victory lanes for the Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders didn’t stand after post-race inspections took three of the top six who were there out of the finishing order due to infractions found. This would make it a LaForest front row with John LaForest being scored the official winner in feature one Logan Martin in second and Tom Brown back in action getting the third-place position. Taber Andrews and Tim Chase completed feature one’s top five. In the second feature Kevin LaForest crossed the line first for the win with Jonathon Baker in second. Devon Spinks is recorded as the official third place finisher with Devin Bell and Hayden Bishop rounding out the top five for feature two.
The first-ever appearance of the Empire Super Sprints is now officially in the books. The twenty-one strong field of cars took to the Ridge like they raced here regularly. The green to checkers twenty-five lap main event ticked off quickly, and when the checkers waved on the field it was our own local boy Chris Donnelly, Piermont, NH, proving he is the all-knowing professor of the Ridge who crossed the line first. Matt Tanner, Stephentown NY crossed the line in second with Jason Barney Brewerton, NY grabbing the final victory lane spot. Paulie Colagiovanni, Cicero, NY and Danny Varin, Fonda NY completed the top five.
The Sting Vintage Race Cars 4/6 Cylinder Enduro next event is scheduled for July 31st.
