First time winners Rookie Max Dolliver in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds and Justin Sheridan in the USAC DMA Midgets are logged in the record books
Lucky’s Trailer Sales night Feature winners: Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Max Dolliver; Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes Derrick Stearns; USAC DMA Midgets Justin Sheridan; C.A. Miller Limited Late Models Matt Piper; LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Off Returning 8/7; Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders Feature #1 Tim Chase & Feature #2 Jason Porter. Sting Vintage Race Cars Buddy Chapman.
Rookie sensation Max Dolliver gets his first win in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, taking the lead on lap nine he survived two restarts and held off the hard-fought challenges of the willey veterans tight on his heels. In the end, Robert Tucker and Todd Buckwold would cross the line behind him in that order. Jason Gray was able to make it up to fourth, one spot off the podium with Matt Lashua close behind crossing in fifth.
Derrick Stearns was able to capitalize on his pole starting position in Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes to score the win, putting himself in the win column as the eighth different winner so far this season. Three cautions early would slow the pace but once they got going by lap eleven it was green to checkers the rest of the way, making it difficult for the heavy hitters to work their way from deep in the pack to the front in their effort to score a podium finish. Tim Martin and Thomas Placey joined him in victory lane with Jason Horniac still looking for his first win and Tim Hodge rounding out the top five.
There were some new faces to USAC DMA Midgets old faces to the Ridge, with Wayne Stearns and Tom Chaffee making up the field of cars for their main event. Having driven Modifieds and Mini Sprints it might take the duo a bit to figure it this type of machine, but it was good to see them back at the Ridge behind the wheel. In the meantime, another winner is recorded in the books as Justin Sheridan gets his first win of the season, making it six different winners for six events. Seth Carlson would have to settle for the bride’s maid spot in victory lane, with Brandon Piastka holding on for the final victory lane position. Joe Krawiec and Josh Sunn completed the top five.
The C.A. Miller Limited Late Models saw Matt Piper record his second win of the season joining Todd Dunham as the only repeat winners in the division. Todd Dunham crossed the line behind him in second with Ryan Avery taking home third. Matt Lashua doing double duty crossed the line fourth with last week’s feature winner John Neddo completing the top five.
The LaValley Building Supply were off and will return to action 8/7/2021.
In the Peanuts Auto LLC Four Cylinders Tim Chase is your latest new winner taking home the checkers in feature one with Dustin Towle behind the wheel of a four cylinder while the dirt stocks were off coming home in second. Carl Sweet completed the victory lane podium, with Chris O’Dell and Hayden Bishop rounding out the top five. In feature two Jason Porter showed them once again how to get it done taking home his fourth win of the season with Logan Martin and John LaForest joining him in victory lane Kevin LaForest and Garrett Brown rounded out the top five.
They were over 50 strong for the Sting Vintage Race Cars 4/6 Cylinder Enduro 3rd event of the season, and when the checkers waved on the 75-lap feature Buddy Chapman was scored the winner with Devin Bel crossing in second one lap down. Tim Kingsbury two laps down is scored in third with Eric Lundblad and Steven Walker rounding out the top five. The next Sting Vintage Race Cars 4/6 Cylinder Enduro will be on 8/28/2021.
