Harwood First at Riverside Speedway
Tom Harwood got his first win of the season in the M.H. Humphrey Lil Rascals dwarf cars. Harwood got the lead after a caution which involved the 1X of Hiram, Maine’s Roger Edgecomb, and Baldwin, Maine’s Miller Buzzell. Edgecomb’s bad luck continued as the 1X was done for the night. Harwood held off a late charge from last week’s winner Justin Harris, to pick up the win with Harris second and Miller Buzzell coming back for third.
In the Claudette and Dean’s place Dare Devils Brandon Sheldon recovered from hitting the backstretch wall last week to win this week. Sheldon got the lead early and cruised to his second win of the season. Revin Evan Gilbert got the second spot with Granby Vermont’s Windsor Hodgdon in third.
The EKeys4cars Formula Fours put on a great show as 2020 bone stock 4 cylinder champ Ryan Heuser got his first win of the season. Heuser had to hold off current point leader Bryan Putney of Morrisville Vermont for the win, with Putney second and Nick Gilcris, substituting for Andrew Fecteau in the #75, coming in third.
In the Bay Haven Lobster Pound and Restaurant 350 Super modifieds, Nette Humphrey had things finally go her way as she got the lead at the drop of the green flag and then had to fend off Mike Keddys #79 late in the race but she was able to hold on for her first-ever super modified win. Mike Keddy finished second with South Hiram Maine’s Brad Sanborn in third.
In the R.N. Craft street stocks Groveton N.H. Nick Gilcris put his bad luck to the side and was able to get the win. With two laps to go, first-time competitor, Aaron Day put the heat on Gilcris but just didn’t have enough to get by. Gilcris came home with the win and Day finished second with Groveton’s Chris Caron coming in for third.
Next Saturday night it’s the rescheduled Modified tour along with the Claudette and Dean’s place DareDevils, The EKeys4cars Formula fours, M.H. Humphrey & Inc. Lil Rascals, and the Bad Boy Mowers of Morrisville Four cylinder Bonestocks. Post time is 6 P.M. Hope to see you there
