Port Royal ‘Speed Showcase 200’ Returns for 2021 Oct. 14-16, Three Days of Racing Planned
PORT ROYAL, PA – It was the most-talked-about new dirt Modified event of 2020.
And it’s back for 2021.
The ‘Speed Showcase 200’ weekend at Port Royal Speedway returns on October 14-16, 2021 at the ‘Speed Palace’ headlined by the $50,000-to-win ‘Speed Showcase 200’ for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds.
BD Motorsports Media LLC returns to present the three-day event on the Juniata County Fairgrounds.
Saturday’s (Oct. 16) program features the STSS Modified ‘Speed Showcase 200’ offering $50,000-plus to the winner, $1,000 for 20th and $750 to take the green – a $128,125 pay structure for the 40-car field.
STSS Crate 602 Sportsman also take part in the Saturday program in the Ice Less LLC-sponsored 50-lap main paying an increased $4,000 to win and $200 to take the green with 36 cars starting the main event.
B-Mains for both the STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will precede the two main events on Saturday.
Friday (Oct. 15) is Qualifying Night presented by Bob Hilbert Sportswear.
For the first time ever, the Pro Stock division will invade Port Royal Speedway utilizing the rules package in place at N.Y.’s Fonda and Utica-Rome speedways.
The 30-lap Pro Stock main will offer $1,250 minimum to win and $125 minimum to start plus special awards and bonuses which have already begun rolling in as the division makes its debut at the Speed Palace. Pro Stock heat races will also take place on Friday.
STSS Modifieds will take part in 20-lap Qualifiers and 15-lap Qualifiers will be on deck for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman.
Thursday (Oct. 14) kicks it all off with Behrent’s Performance Warehouse Preliminary Night.
STSS Modifieds take part in the ‘Speed Showcase 40’ event paying $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag.
Practice rounds will be available for both the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions.
Both Thursday and Saturday’s STSS Modified events will offer points toward the Velocita-USA South Region presented by Design for Vision and Sunglass Central.
The Saturday STSS Crate 602 Sportsman event offers points toward the Belmont’s Garage STSS Crate 602 Sportsman South Region.
Camping will be available beginning the week of Aug. 30. Reserved campsite holders from 2020 receive first right of refusal.
Advance tickets go on sale the week of Sept. 15 with ’20 reserved seat holders getting first option to renew.
Campers will be permitted on-site beginning Wednesday (Oct. 13).
