Scott Hossfeld to Provide “Maynard Troyer Ii” Championship Ring

Graeber Jeweler’s to make Maynard Troyer II Championship Ring for Race Winner –

Williamson, N.Y. – (August 11, 2021) –  Maynard Troyer enthusiast and historian, Scott Hossfeld of Depew, N.Y., will provide the winner of the Maynard Troyer Classic II on Friday, September 3 at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y. a unique racing winning prize. The winner will receive a championship ring designed by Hossfeld and made by Graber’s Jewelers, the official jeweler of the Race of Champions Modified Series.

The ring is a design Hossfeld worked tirelessly on with the staff at Graeber’s to create an award that will remain a keepsake of the driver for years to come in recognition of the accomplishment of winning the prestigious race. In addition to the winner of the Maynard Troyer Classic II receiving a ring, Hossfeld has made it possible for Mike Leaty, who won the first Maynard Troyer Classic in 2019 to receive his ring as part of a pre-race ceremony. The value of the ring is near $1,000.

“Maynard Troyer was one of my racing heroes,” began Hossfeld. “This is a great way for me to honor such a great man who has such a tremendous Modified racing legacy. His brand of racecars, lists of accomplishments and personality will live on forever in the sport. This such a great event and I am proud to be a part of creating a great new tradition.”

In the past Hossfeld has raced himself in vintage Troyer cars with the traditional Maynard Troyer paint schemes. More recently Hossfeld raced a Sportsman Modified that had the familiar red and white paint scheme with a chrome number six on it, in honor of Troyer.
