Kevin Iannarelli Rolls to Oxford Looking for Prestigious Win
SHIRLEY, Mass. — Kevin Iannarelli and the No. 27 Modified team are heading to one of the most prestigious race weekends in all of the country for their next race event. Although Iannarelli will be competing in a Modified, and not a Super Late Model, he will join the Modified Racing Series field at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday, August 28, in the prelude to the prestigious Oxford 250.
The race will be in front of a packed house — as the American-Canadian Tour Late Models will also join the card as a preview to Sunday’s Oxford 250, a race well-known around the country. Iannarelli and the team have multiple races under their belt this season — and will be looking to get to Victory Lane for the first time. The $2,500 to win special, set for 75 laps, will air to a live, national audience on Speed51.TV, giving Iannarelli the perfect chance to show-off his talents behind the wheel.
“Being a part of the prestigious Oxford 250 weekend is a great opportunity for us to showcase the Modifieds in front of this big stage,” Iannarelli said. “Oxford Plains Speedway is a great track for me. I have competed for wins there with the Modified Racing Series before. I’m excited to see how our LFR Chassis unloads on Saturday and hope to have a strong run for our supporters and team.”
Iannarelli will drive the familiar No. 27, with a strong group of sponsors, crew and supporters behind him. One of those sponsors is Lucas Oil. With a vision to improve and impact lives, Lucas Oil has an unwavering commitment to create superior solutions to solve everyday problems. With locations across the United States, they are built upon hard work, premium products and commitment to customer satisfaction. Iannarelli, who started his career in the Mini Cups, spent a stint down south working with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and JR Motorsports, before moving back to New England and taking a job with iRacing.com, where he is the Associate Producer. Iannarelli is a former winner at Star Speedway, located in Epping, N.H., in their Tour Modified weekly division. He also has sponsorship from iRacing.com, Access Realty, VTANG & others.
Saturday’s race day schedule includes practice for the Modified Racing Series teams beginning at 12:15 p.m., and includes a minimum of three practice runs. Racing begins at 4 p.m. with Modified Racing Series heat races, followed by additional qualifying and the 75-lap feature, which is slated to take the green flag around 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the track and are $30 for adults for Saturday only, with children ages 6-12 set at $15, and those five and under free. For those who can’t make it to the track, Speed51.TV is offering a live PPV broadcast.
