Sam Rameau Returns to Racing with Tri Track This Saturday at Seekonk Speedway

WESTMINSTER, Mass. — After just over two months out from behind the wheel focusing on his education, Rameau Family Motorsports is happy to announce that Sammy Rameau will return to the seat of the No. 06 this weekend at Seekonk Speedway. Rameau will pilot the familiar family-owned entry in the Tri Track Open Modified Series Haunted Hundred event, set for 100 laps and worth $6,000 to win.

Earlier in the year, Rameau captured the victory in the Tri Track season-opener at Monadnock Speedway, and even with missing a race, Rameau still is contending for a top-15 finish in the point standings in the competitive touring division. He isn’t concerned about being out of the seat, and is ready to rock on Friday, October 22 for practice, and Saturday, October 23, for race day.

“I think it will be a good day,” Rameau said. “We have raced Legends Cars there before, run some Whelen Modified Tour races, Open Shows, and Tri Track events. It’s a cool little track, where a lot can happen in a really short time. I think everywhere we race has some really great competition. It’s always going to be a challenge. The guys like Hirschman, Bonsignore… they are always tough to beat. Looking forward to seeing how we match up at Seekonk.”

Saturday’s Tri Track finale includes practice from 10-10:45 a.m., with qualifying heats set to take the green flag at 1 p.m. The American-Canadian Tour Late Models and Pro All Star Series Pro Stocks will also join the show, which will be made up of three, 100-lap races to end the season. Tickets will be available at the track and are $30 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12 and kids five and under are free in the grandstands.
