Riverside Speedway & Adventure Park Honors Their 2021 Champions at Annual Awards Banquet

The 2021 racing season came to an end at Riverside Speedway and Adventure Park, as The Town and Country Motor Inn, Gorham, New Hampshire hosted the gala which featured close to 250 racers, crew members, race fans, sponsors, media, and Track officials.

The top ten in points that attended the awards ceremony received beautiful trophies created by N.E.K. Trophy of Lyndonville, Vermont. They also received a healthy point fund check.

In the Creative Counters, Vermont Solid Services Late Model division, the following drivers in the top ten in the season-ending points battle received their rewards:

Champion Corey Mason, Steve Fisher, Floyd Bennett Jr., Justin Eldridge, Mike Kenison, Mike Paquette, Matthew Mason, Brenna Humphrey, and Jason Kenison.

Award winners for the R.N. Craft Street Stocks include 2021 champion Chris Caron, Nick Gilcris, Robert Audet, Todd Libby, Donald Kenison, and Aaron Bennett.

350 Super winners were Champion Dave Helliwell, Brad Sanborn, Brenna Humphrey, Leslie Keyser, Jim Barker and Nette Humphrey.

The final EKEYS 4 Cars Formula Four awards went to champion Bryan Putney, Ryan Heuser, Brendon Rhodes, Cassi Leonard, Jason Ball, and Zachary Audet. In the M.H. Humphrey & Sons Logging Lil Rascals, the top spot went to Roger Edgecomb. Brad Sanborn, Tom Harwood, Paxton Call, Justin Harris, and Miller Buzzell earned awards. Evan Gilbert led the way in the Claudette & Dean’s Place Dare Devils, along with Windsor Hodgdon, Brandon Sheldon, Conner Charboneau, Kamryn Ledger, Miller Buzzell, and Ally Avery.

The following awards in the Bone Stock 6 & 8 cylinders were received by first-time champion Randy Fecteau. Mike Sherburne, Jamie Heath, Floyd Bennett Jr., Eric Prescott, Cody Richards, Luke Jones, Pete Gilcris, along with Ryan Shannon. The Bad Boy Mowers of Morrisville Bone Stock Four Cylinder champion was Nick Ogden. Also garnering awards were Julian Kenison, Doug Collins Jr., Jarid Mathieu, Marty Barrup, Nicole Ouellette, Ty Heywood, Aaron Smith, and James Aiken.

Specialty awards were also given out to the following people. The 2021 Rookie of the Year awards were presented to Justin Eldridge in the Late Models. Chris Caron was the top rookie in the Street Stocks, Brad Sanborn in the 350 Supers, Brian Putney was the top Formula Four rookie, while Miller Buzzell won the Lil Rascals Rookie of the Year trophy. Brandon Sheldon was the top rookie in the Dare Devil Youth Racers, Randy Fecteau captured top honors in the Bone Stock 6 & 8’s and Julian Kenison was king of the rookies in the Bone Stock 4’s.

The most coveted award of the night was presented to a young man that is very well respected at the race track. He was always willing to help out anyone that needed a hand, and always did it with a smile on his face. This year’s Sportsmanship award was presented to Lil Rascals driver, Paxton Call.

The off-season is going to be extremely busy at Riverside Speedway & Adventure Park as the rulebooks will be published and distributed very soon, along with schedules being announced, and lots of news items throughout the winter.
