A New Clap of ‘Thunder in the Mountains’ in 2022
N. Woodstock, NH — A staple of New England touring series’ schedules for 30 years, White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) welcomes a rare first-time visit in 2022. The roar of the newly minted NE Big-Block Super Modified Series (NEBSMS) will echo through the foothills along Route 3 during two visits this summer.
In an effort to revitalize the dwindling division of winged, open-wheeled rockets, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) president Tom Mayberry stepped in to provide Northeast teams and drivers with events closer to home. By eliminating overnight hotel expenses and 12+ hour round trips normal to the International Super Modified Association (ISMA) schedule, Mayberry and his team hope to catapult the Big-Block ‘Supers’ back into the mainstream.
NEBSMS will join the Sunday ticket of a jam-packed 30th Opening Weekend at WMMP on May 15th. These Big-Block behemoths will make their anticipated debut alongside the PASS Super Late Model 150, PASS Modifieds, Dad’s 4 By Kids Division as well as the first race for the new Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models class. The Sunday show bookends an impressive opening weekend with special-distance events for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Arnolds Wayside Diner Dwarf Cars highlighting the Saturday, May 14th, event. The Annual White Mountain Motorsports Park Car Show will also be Saturday, 10:00am-4:00pm.
The ‘Supers’ return for a second breath-taking event, a special Friday night show on July 15th. Once again alongside the PASS Super Late Models, this exciting event will allow fans from New Hampshire Motor Speedway a quick and easy trip up Interstate 93 to add some grassroots competition to their NASCAR weekend in Loudon.
