Dick Peterman Passes Away at 90
Richard Peterman
August 27, 1931 – January 12, 2022
Dick had been employed as a machinist for Superior Tube.
He was involved in racing for much of his life. Dick raced Three Quarter Midgets and Midgets for many owners over the years and owned his own #98 TQ Midget Racecar. His first TQ win came on February 20, 1960, in Teaneck Armory and after many indoor and outdoor victories, he took his last indoor checkered flag on January 26, 1985, in the Niagra Falls Convention Center, in his own #98 TQ. Dick could be found around the tracks well into his 80s.
In addition to his loving wife, Dick is survived by his daughters: Barbara P., wife of George A. Miller, of West Palm Beach, FL, Cheryl L., wife of Kevin Walsh, of Lancaster, PA, and Justine L. Peterman, of New Jersey; and brother: Pete, husband of Pat Peterman of Pottstown. In addition to his parents: he was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Amanda Miller.
