White Mountain Renames Trucks as Kids Division
N. Woodstock, NH — White Mountain Motorsports Park has renamed the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Trucks to the Kids Division for the 2022 season. The change was made to reflect that the track now allows cars to compete alongside the trucks.
The rules for the Kids Division will remain the same as previously announced. The youth class currently has 15 events scheduled for the upcoming season.
For decades, the Kids Division has been a place for 11- to 15-year-olds to get their first experience racing in a full-size vehicle. While the division was exclusively limited to pickup trucks for many years, the track began allowing 4-cylinder cars to compete partway through the 2020 season. This decision was made so more kids could compete at White Mountain since it would be easier to find vehicles to race.
The decision has been a resounding success. Several youth drivers now run cars regularly at the track with McKenna Merchant winning five races last year, including a special event at Vermont’s Thunder Road. Given the division now has a clear mix of trucks and cars, officials decided the time was right to adopt a more inclusive name.
White Mountain Motorsports Park opens the 2022 campaign with a 30th Season Doubleheader Weekend on May 14 and 15. Saturday, May 14 at 6:00pm is a four-division card with added-distance features for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Mini’s, and Arnolds Wayside Diner Dwarf Cars.
