WEEDSPORT, NY (March 4, 2022) – It is a Central New York tradition fans have looked forward to for two years, as the Syracuse Motorsports Expo finally returns to the Center of Progress Building on the New York State Fairgrounds, and Weedsport Speedway is proud to once again be on site.
Weedsport Speedway will be represented in full force on March 12-13 with a sampling of what is to come at The Port in 2022.
Modified racers Chris Hile and Tim Sears Jr. will each have Modifieds on site, along with Larry Wight’s winged Sprint Car and even the Slack Karts machine of defending Kart Cup champion, Jamie Shutts.
Fans will have an opportunity to explore all of these racing machines while also scanning the 2022 schedules for both the speedway and kartway.
“While we have been fortunate to start our racing down south already, the Syracuse Motorsports Expo is the traditional sign that racing in our area is once again on the doorstep,” said Weedsport Speedway’s, Jimmy Phelps. “We’re looking forward to seeing all of our racing friends and family at the Expo and excited to give fans a look inside the 2022 schedule for Weedsport.”
Weedsport Speedway merchandise will also be on-site through the duration of the weekend.
Showtimes for the Expo are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 13. Admission is $13 for adults or $20 for a weekend pass. Kids 6-12 are just $5, with those 5 and under admitted for free.
Fans are encouraged to visit the Expo’s all-new website at www.syracusemotorsports.com where race tracks, vendor and race car forms are ready to download. The Expo can also be found on Facebook by simply typing, Syracuse Motorsports Expo.
