No On-Track Activity at Fonda Speedway this Weekend; Practice Re-Set for April 13
FONDA, NY – Due to extremely wet grounds and an unfavorable weather forecast, Fonda Speedway management has elected to postpone the scheduled Open Practice for this Saturday (April 9). The Sunday rain date will not be utilized to allow for much-needed drying time and track preparation.
Should weather and conditions allow, the speedway will host a practice session on Wednesday, April 13 with gates opening at 5 p.m. and on-track action 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Admission will be $25 for Members and $30 for Non-Members in the pit area. Kids 6-12 pay $10 and Children ages 5 and under pay $2.
Grandstand admission will be free.
Keep posted to the Fonda Speedway website and social media for updates. The 71st Season Opener remains on schedule for Saturday, April 16 with Palmer’s Service Center presenting a full program.
Since 1953, the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
