Sam Rameau Heads For Claremont Looking For $15,000 Prize

WESTMINSTER, Mass. – Sam Rameau is looking for a big check this weekend. The driver of the No. 06 Modified will compete in the $15,000 to win Racing Guys 100 at Claremont Motorsports Park on Friday, June 3 – a race postponed one week due to Mother Nature.

Rameau is off to a strong start to the 2022 season, with two podium finishes at Monadnock Speedway at the end of April. Last weekend, Rameau competed in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event at Thunder Road International Speedbowl and was running at the front of the pack when he decided to pit, but couldn’t make his way back to the front before the end of the race.

Rameau is excited to head to Claremont for the first of two races at the New Hampshire oval this month, and three during the season. Rameau will also compete in the Whitcomb 5 Series event at Claremont on June 17 and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Clash at Claremont on July 29.

“Claremont is a fun track, tough to figure out, but I think we will have a strong night,” Rameau said. “Looking forward to getting some laps there in this race to get ready for the other upcoming races we will run there, but with $15,000 on the line, we’re going there looking for the win. Our team has been working hard on cars for multiple divisions for this year and we’re excited to try and reward all of them and our sponsors with a big victory this Friday.”

Claremont’s race day includes one Tour-Type Modified practice from 4-5 p.m., followed by time trials at 7 p.m. There will also be 12-lap qualifying heats and the 100-lap race, worth $15,000 to win. The race will be available on RacingAmerica.TV for those who can’t make it to the track.
