Holland International Speedway to Welcome Back Stock Car Racing Next Saturday, July 9 With the Running of the AAA of WNY / NAPA 50 for the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series
– Race of Champions Street Stocks, Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series and Race of Champions Late Models to join the Card –
Holland, N.Y. – (July 1, 2022) – Race fans and competitors are looking forward to racing returning to the “high-banks” of Holland (N.Y.) International Speedway next Saturday, July 9 with the running the AAA of WNY / NAPA 50 for the Race of Champions Modified Series.
Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo, N.Y., topped Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., in the Series opener at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., on Friday, June 17. A host of others come into Holland looking for Sportsman Modified Series success. Jankowiak and Leaty should lead the Series to Holland for another competitive event for the Series.
The Sportsman will be joined by the opener of a three-race Series for the Race of Champions Street Stocks. For the first-time the Street Stock division in Western New York will have a three-race Series as part of Western New York’s most marquee events and the FOAR Score Club of Western New York will be collecting and assembling the point fund for the division for the 2022 season. The champion will be honored at the season-ending Championship Celebration for the Race of Champions and will receive all of the accolades for their efforts.
The Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series will make their first of three appearances at Holland, with $333.33 going to the winner with continued support from DC&H Consulting in Williamsville, N.Y, while the Race of Champions Late Model Series will run their second race of 2022 and make their only appearance on the high-banks.
Grandstand gates will open at 5:00pm with qualifying races slated to roll at 6:30pm.
Holland International Speedway will host a practice from 6:00pm until dusk on Thursday, July 7 for all divisions.
