Fresh Off Whitcomb 5 Series Win, Sam Rameau Set For Tri-Track Action at Star Speedway

For the fourth time this season, Sam Rameau will strap in behind the wheel of the No. 06 for Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series racing this Saturday night. Set to compete in the SBM 125 at Star Speedway, worth $7,500 to win, Rameau will look to make it two straight wins for Rameau Family Motorsports.

Last Friday night, Rameau captured a $5,000 victory at Lee USA Speedway, winning the third round of the Whitcomb 5 Series. So far in the Tri-Track season, Rameau does have one podium finish and would like to carry momentum into Star to score in the 11th annual SBM race.

A total purse of more than $40,000 is on the line for competitors in the Tri-Track special.

“We’ve had a history filled with ups and downs and Star,” Rameau said. “But right now, we have a good package with our cars and we have a lot of confidence going there for the big race. With 125 laps and $7,500 on the line, this is going to be a stout field and a lot of competition for us to race against. We will go there and give it the best effort we can and hope to come out on top.”

The race day schedule for Star Speedway includes practice from 1:30-2:30 p.m., followed by qualifying heats at 4:15 p.m. The drop of the green flag for the SBM 125 is scheduled for around 8 p.m., live on RacingAmerica.TV for those who can’t make it to the track. All tickets for the event will be sold at the gate.
