Brookside Equipment Sales Signs Two-Year Deal to Present ACT Southern New England Triple Crown

Barre, VT — Longtime Short Track Racing supporter Brookside Equipment Sales, out of Phillipston, Massachusetts, has signed a two-year deal to become the title sponsor for the American-Canadian Tour Southern New England Triple Crown. After a successful return to end the 2022 season, the 2023 edition features three iconic events at three unique venues with only one driver able to step out as the Brookside Equipment Sales Southern New England Triple Crown champion.

Starting off with a return 38-years in the making, the first leg of the ACT Southern New England Triple Crown presented by Brookside Equipment begins at the Stafford Motor Speedway. The American-Canadian Tour returns to the iconic Connecticut oval for the first time since 1985, joining in on the 51st annual NAPA Spring Sizzler weekend. The NAPA Spring Sizzler 75 on Saturday, April 29th is certainly going to be one of the most coveted wins of the 2023 ACT Tour season.

Round two of the Brookside Equipment Sales Southern New England Triple Crown comes to Seekonk Speedway for another historical feat on Saturday, June 3rd. The ACT Spring Green 123 heads South to the Bay State for its sixth different venue in forty-eight iconic events. Such heroes as Bobby and Beaver Dragon, Joey Kourafas, Junior Hanley, and Eddie MacDonald have taken the Spring Green checkered flag. A Seekonk local has yet to take the ACT checkers at the ‘Cement Palace’ since the Tour’s first visit in 1983. By taking one of the sanctioning body’s cornerstone events, a local hot shoe could really cement themselves in the history books.

The Brookside Equipment Southern New England Triple Crown wraps up in conjunction with the American-Canadian Tour season finale at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday, October 21st. The always exciting Haunted Hundred returns as the grand finale to the ACT Tour season and the Southern New England Triple Crown alongside the championship event for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series. Adding Open Street Stocks and SK Lite Modifieds to the mix, making for the biggest season-ending event in New England for 2023.

“We’re glad to bring back the Southern New England Triple Crown once again for the ACT Tour teams and it wouldn’t be possible without the McHugh Family and Brookside Equipment,” said ACT managing partner Cris Michaud. “This is a great opportunity for full-time and part-time teams alike to get a big piece of the action for the next two seasons at some world-class tracks and events. We’re looking forward to round one at Stafford this April and may the best driver take the crown!”
