David Tourigny Passes Away

David Francis Tourigny
September 24, 1939 – June 8, 2023
David Francis Tourigny, 83, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at RI Hospital in Providence. He was born in Boston, MA, a son of the late Raymond and Pauline (Orr) Tourigny. David was a plastics engineer for Crystal Plastics in Cumberland for many years until retiring. He was also an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War. David designed, built, and maintained modified race cars for drivers: Fred DeSarro, Bugs Stevens, Ken Bouchard and Mike Stefanik; these cars won close to 200 victories at local race tracks.
He was the brother of Robert Tourigny, James Tourigny, Rosemary Trinque, and Dan Tourigny. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his siblings Raymond Tourigny, Samuel Tourigny, Annette Barna, and Theresa Harris.
A Catholic Prayer Service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville at 11am. Visitation will be prior from 10-11 am. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Pascoag.
