(Sophia, NC): Can anyone stop Allen Vance in the Challenger division at Caraway Speedway? Vance has been on a tear this season racking up four wins. The speedway has posted some extra cash for the 40 lapper scheduled for the division with $800.00 up for grabs for the winner. Darren Hackett has also posted a $200.00 “Bounty” for any winner other than Vance this week. Vance must be running at the finish for the winner to collect. Brody Duggins poses a threat to Vance’s dominance this week. Duggins has a win and a runner-up finish in the past and has a shot at the “bounty”. Other contenders in the Challenger Division include Brian Melville, Caleb Allred, Matthew Smith plus several regular competitors.
The 602 Modifieds return Saturday night for a 40-lap feature. An anonymous sponsor put up some extra cash for the division winner for this week’s race boosting the purse to $1,000.00 to win. Brad Smith from Velocita USA has also posted a $200.00 bonus to the winner if he/she is wearing a Drivers uniform from Velocita. “Rookie of the Year” contender and current point leader, Justice Calabro heads a list of drivers contending for the win. Mitchell Wright, Cody Norman, Jacob Creed. Josh Lowder, Jeremy Gerstner and Kevin Orlando are just a few of those drivers expected. Jaxson Casper had engine trouble in his last race and may miss this week’s show.
Also on tap are 15 lap events for the always popular UCAR’s and the new “Bootleggers” plus q 50 lap Any Car/Enduro to wrap up the night.
A special “Ladies Night” with FREE admission for all ladies plus some lucky fan will win a “new to them” car from Zoo City Auto Sales. So don’t miss a great night of racing and fun at Caraway Speedway this Saturday night, June 17th.
